As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group.  The Benton, IL. American Legion Post 280 and VFW Post 2671 is a combined Post where veterans who served honorably, during all eras, can join with their brothers and sisters in arms to strengthen our community. Regardless if you served during times of peace or war, overseas or abroad, we have a place for you. Announcements

As per the mandate directed by Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, we are temporarily ceasing Canteen and Kitchen operations here at the Post.  Although we cannot be open, our mission of serving Veterans, and their families, in our community continues.  If you are a Veteran in need, or know of one who is, please contact us via our Facebook Page or by sending a message to us through this website. Upcoming organizational meetings will be updated as they arise.  Breakfast Buddies food donations will still be accepted.  You can leave your donation at the front door of the Post.  Someone will be collecting them daily.  We wish everyone a very safe next few weeks and we hope to see you when we reopen.
 
Every Sunday is Karaoke with Rockin' Roy from 6-10pm. Bloody Mary's are $2. Monday thru Friday from 9am to 5pm is Domestic Beer 3 for $6 and Nattys 3 for $4. Wednesday Happy Hour is from 6 to 9pm with $2 Beer Cans, and other specials. Auxiliary 50/50 Drawing at 7:25pm and Queen of Hearts Drawing at 7:30pm. The Auxiliary will also be selling food on Wednesday nights beginning at 5pm. Thursday is Wing Night starting at 5pm. Extreme Bingo begins at 6:30pm. Come out for your chance to win cash or prizes! We have several events coming up, everyone is welcome to come and participate in them with us.
