As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group.  The Benton, IL. American Legion Post 280 and VFW Post 2671 is a combined Post where veterans who served honorably, during all eras, can join with their brothers and sisters in arms to strengthen our community. Regardless if you served during times of peace or war, overseas or abroad, we have a place for you. Our mission of serving Veterans and our community continues.  If you know of a Veteran in need, please contact our Post by calling (618) 438-0861 or message us through our Facebook or Twitter pages.  We will be providing Thanksgiving Day meal, free of charge, for anyone who needs a place to eat.  Food will be available beginning at Noon and will last until 6pm or if the food runs out.
 
Every Sunday Bloody Mary's are $2. Monday thru Friday from 9am to 5pm is Domestic Beer 3 for $6 and Nattys 3 for $4. Wednesday Happy Hour is from 6 to 9pm with $2 Beer Cans, and other specials. Auxiliary 50/50 Drawing at 7:25pm and Queen of Hearts Drawing at 7:30pm. The Auxiliary will also be selling food on Wednesday nights beginning at 5pm. Thursday is Wing Night starting at 5pm. Extreme Bingo begins at 6:30pm. Come out for your chance to win cash or prizes! Friday Fish is from 5pm to 7pm and the band "Most Wanted" is holding a Senior Dance in the Hall every Friday after Fish is over.  We have several events coming up, everyone is welcome to come and participate in them with us.
